What is the Project?
A series of seven charcoal drawings centered around the Erie Canal in Orleans County NY and inspired by community input. This project is meant to reflect what the Erie Canal means to the people who live nearest to its banks.
Once completed in Fall 2025, the whole series will be displayed in various, and perhaps unexpected, locations around Orleans County so the people who inspired the project can experience it first.
This project is made possible with funds from the Statewide Community Regrant Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature and administered by GO ART!
