As the fallen North waits for its lost heirs to return and free their kingdom from the crushing reign of Thornrose, Amaea Cavor and her family guard one of the last burning dragon fires. The fire is the key to the North’s past and the hope for its future, and Thornrose will do anything to see it extinguished.

When a Thornrose prince demands one of the Cavor daughters as a bride in an attempt to seize the fire, Amaea volunteers to spare her sister, leaving her family behind. As Amaea faces the prince the rest of the Cavor family must make sacrifices to guard the fire and fight for hope in the midst of their kingdom’s defeat.

Can they protect the dragon fire from Thornrose’s reign? Or will the flames that have burned for centuries finally be extinguished?
